Move a site to a work, school, or other group account You can move a classic site to an account you use for work, school, or another group. Step 1: Share the site with your other account If you're not the owner of the site, have the owner share it with you. At the top, click Share. Under "Invite people, " add your work, school, or other group email address. Next to your email address, choose "Is owner. " Step 2: Make a copy of the site Click More actions Manage site. Click Copy this site. Next to "Site name, " enter a name for the new site. At the top, click Copy. You now have 2 copies of the site. You can: Delete the old site: You or the original owner can delete the site at the old web address so there's only one site. Even if a site has the extension,, you still need to keep a look out for personal pages. Case in point is this website previously available and published by a professor at Northwestern University: This site is a Holocaust Revisionist site that argues that the Holocaust did not take place. Although this site contains a domain name we should be able to trust, the tilde ~ followed by someone's name, abutz tell us that this is a personal posting and not an official Northwestern page. **Today, Professor Butz's site, describing the holocaust as an historic myth is no longer available at the original address.
You can publish your site and decide who can see it. Note: This section is for new Google Sites (at the bottom right, you'll see Create). Get help with classic Google Sites. Copying a link or picture within a page If you'd like to copy an address of an image or hyperlink pointing to another page, zipped file, document, PDF, or other file follow the steps below. Right-click the link or image you want to copy the address. In the right-click menu that appears choose the right-click, Copy link address, or Copy link location option (varies by browser). Once done that address is copied into your clipboard and can be pasted into e-mail, document, spreadsheet, notepad, or any other file or web page.
