Pros Secure, safe atmosphere, staff generally supportive and helpful Cons Difficult, due to security, to access a full learning experience My job in particular was very fun. Being a student worker, we can only work 29 hours/week. I would definitely recommend other HCC students take up the position as a college for kids student worker if they enjoy being with kids. This place has a very relaxed atmosphere. Slow-paced. They do not take lightly to errors. Meaning you have to be perfect with little to no mistakes. Everything is documented from phone calls to conversations. Working with 8 students for two days. This is a great opportunity to be able to train and teach novice nurses, as well as guide the students on their educational journey. I haven't had a bad experience with any of my coworker or supervisors. Every one within the department has been very helpful. They go above and beyond to help with any questions and concerns. Standard work hours, supportive supervisor, flexible time-off, relaxed atmosphere, periods of chaos, low salary (hardest part of job), working with intelligent, good-hearted people (best part of job) Pros Intellectual co-workers
