Hi all! I'm looking for a career change and have always had an interest in the medical field. I currently have a BS in Biology, but no medical field work experience (I ended up in e-commerce lol. ) And with COVID not many opportunities to volunteer/I don't feel comfortable doing that until I'm vaccinated. I'm looking for some insight/opinions on direct entry vs accelerated BSN programs. My end goal is to become an FNP (but open to other specialities. ) The MDE program is through Columbia and I have some good local college/uni options in NJ/NY area. I'm concerned that I'm caught up in the allure and prestige of the Columbia name and the shortness of the program (15 months. ) I'm also concerned about my GPA, overall it's a 3. 0 but since I transferred schools/took community college classes my GPA did not transfer only the credits. Am I reaching too far for this?
