The success of MBRP is not just anecdotal. Bowen and her colleagues recently published a study in JAMA Psychiatry investigating how effective the Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention program is in comparison to a standard relapse-prevention program as well as a conventional 12-step program. Six months following the intervention, the mindfulness-based program and the standard relapse-prevention program were both more successful at reducing relapse than the 12-step program. One year later, the mindfulness-based program proved better than the other two in reducing drinking and drug use. Bowen says that when people cultivate mindfulness, they're developing a tool to become aware of that inclination to want only pleasurable things and escape uncomfortable things. Mindfulness also helps people learn to relate to discomfort differently. When an uncomfortable feeling like a craving or anxiety arises, people like Sophia are able to recognize their discomfort, and observe it with presence and compassion, instead of automatically reaching for a drug to make it go away.
Hello my fellow car advice givers, I'm currently shopping for a 2009 to 2012 Toyota Rav4 in and around San Antonio, TX on behalf of my uncle who really needs a basic, reliable, comfortable crossover/suv for around town and a few long-distance trips. My family and I took one for a test drive to get an impression and everyone agreed it's exactly what he's looking for. Thing is, he's got around $8, 000 to spend (cash) and while I have found a few very good examples with around 100, 000 miles, in very good condition, with no accidents or too many owners, they're mostly hundreds if not thousands of miles away and sometimes out of state. And if they're local, they're at dealerships being sold at a huge mark-ups. I should also mention that we've had very negative experiences at dealerships and would only consider a dealer as a last resort so we're just being patient and not rushing anything. So far I've recently discovered a privately owned 2011 Rav4 in Houston with 98, 000 miles in seemingly excellent condition for $8, 800 that, other than the brown on brown color scheme, blows away pretty much everything else I've seen locally in terms of condition and price.

A load of gravel runs around $400-$500 in our area and it's very, very rare that we require more than one additional load and have to charge the customer anything. Elevate the Pool: same as when hitting rock. Note: Don't let these potential unforeseen expenses intimidate you. Of the 600+ pools we've installed, only around 1% have incurred any additional cost due to rock or ground water. 2. Exactly how much dirt will there be? Part of planning every pool project is determining what to do with the dirt. Generally speaking, people have no concept of how much dirt actually comes out of a pool excavation…how could you know, right? I usually tell people to imagine how much dirt they would expect and multiply it by 5 or 10. Your average pool excavation will generate a pile of dirt the size of about five garden sheds. So, this is significantly more than we can 'lose' in a typical flat yard. The best plan is to haul that stuff out of there so you aren't stuck wheelbarrowing it on the weekends or hiring someone else to come and get it.
