New Tennessee Law Allows Adoption Agencies To Reject Gay Parents January 15, 2020 Michael Stone Christian hate: A new law in Tennessee will allow adoption agencies to discriminate against gay parents looking to adopt children needing a home. Nashville Tennessean reports: The Tennessee state Senate started the 2020 legislative session passing its first bill of the year: a controversial measure that protects religious adoption agencies if they choose to discriminate against same-sex couples. The bill, sponsored by Sen. Paul Rose, R-Covington, declares that no licensed adoption agency would be required to participate in a child placement if doing so would "violate the agency's written religious or moral convictions or policies. " NBC News reports that Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has already announced that he will sign the legislation into law that will allow adoption agencies to "exclude LGBT families and others based on religious beliefs. " LGBTQ Nation reports on the new law, noting: [The new law] would allow adoption agencies to refuse to work with families if they claim that working with those families would "violate the agency's written religious or moral convictions or policies. It's Christmas, which means that in between opening presents, disposing of wrapping paper and eating dinner at 2 pm, you'll probably hunker down to watch some NBA basketball. The NBA has offered up a slate of five nationally-televised games to celebrate the holiday, starting with the Heat hosting the Pelicans in Miami and ending in Los Angeles for a grudge match between the Lakers and Clippers. And while the Trail Blazers are once again not included in the Christmas Day schedule (which is fine by me), you're likely to see one familiar face while you're whiling away the hours with your family watching basketball, as Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard joins Chris Paul, DeAndre Jordan, Kevin Love and Kevin Garnett in a new State Farm ad campaign entitled "Meet The Hoopers" in which Lillard plays a baby. See for yourself... The premise revolves around an "all-star family" known as the Hoopers, with Paul, the centerpiece of various State Farms campaigns over the years, as the Dad, Jordan as his wife, Love as their teenage son, Garnett as the live-in grandpa and Lillard as the infant child of Paul and Jordan.

"It is strange to see these sentiment measures elevated at the same time the economy is still recovering, " said George Mateyo, chief investment officer at Key Private Bank. "We've had a shot in the arm with respect to fiscal and monetary stimulus" and its impact on the economy "is likely to continue for a while longer, but at some point it'd fade. Taking any single sentiment indicator at face value and relying on it as a sell signal could have meant missing out on one of the largest year-over-year rallies ever ntiment readings "are hovering at extremely high levels and we could have been worried about them three months ago -- we could have been worried about them one month ago, " Lori Calvasina, head of U.
