There certainly is the public school enrichment option, but then we are immediately reminded of the very reason most of us are home-schooling-the worldview of the teachers and the curriculum, the anti-Christian bias, etc. With these concerns in mind, we began to dream of another option: a high quality, low-cost alternative led by Christian parents designed to enhance the home-school education by providing various classes for home-school students. After much prayer and discussion, OliveTree was born. Our Name We arrived at our name, "OliveTree", by considering God's promises regarding the blessing of well-taught children. How happy are those who fear the Lord-all who follow His ways! You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How happy you will be! How rich your life! Your wife will be like a fruitful vine, flourishing within your home. And look at all those children! There they sit around your table as vigorous and healthy as young olive trees. Psalm 128:3 Our Mission Since its inception in 2003, OliveTree has been supporting Home-School families in Northern Colorado by offering K-12 classes rooted in a Biblical worldview.
We take enrollment on a first-come first-serve basis. The best way to ensure a spot at OliveTree is to print out an Enrollment Form and mail it in ASAP with the Registation Fee. This will save your spot over the summer. If the class is full, we will put you on the waiting list. If a spot does not open up we will not keep your Registration Fee. History Most homeschooling families eventually recognize the need for assistance in the endeavor to teach their children. Not since the one-room school teacher has there been the expectation of having one individual (usually mom) who is an expert in every subject at every age level. The challenge is simple: the need for home-school support, by way of an Enrichment Program for K-5 and a Core and Elective Program for 6-12. Unfortunately, few options are available to the Christian home-schooling family in need of support. We can always do without support. But is that the best for our children? We can enroll in a private Christian school, but sometimes that is cost prohibitive.
